SUNEHA JAGANNATHAN
Marine Biologist
I am an independent marine ecologist from India, with a focus on marine habitat restoration, socio-ecology and environmental education.
ABOUT ME
Growing up by the ocean in Chennai, India, I've always been connected to the wide blue. Over the years, this matured into a career as a marine conservation professional. I have worked on multiple research and marine education projects over the last few years.
Soon after completing my Bachelor's degree in Zoology from Madras University, I pursued my Master's under the EU-funded Erasmus Mundus program. I graduated in 2017 with a master's in Tropical Biodiversity. My career has taken me to beautiful locales across the world - Italy, Malaysia, Belgium and Borneo. On Indian shores, I have explored the Palk Bay, Pondicherry, Andamans, Chennai and Gulf of Mannar.
In my own time, I love reading, cooking and I am a formally trained Indian classical dancer. I have a dog Kadal (meaning ocean in Tamil), who is ironically afraid of water.
